This semi-drying fish oil based product helps prevent rust and corrosion on iron and steel. Wattyl Killrust Fishoilene will creep into crevices and penetrate rust, displacing moisture and air, which are the two main causes of corrosion. It is recommended for the coating of badly rusted (greater than 5% rust spots) roofing iron as a means of prolonging the life of the iron. Fishoilene is an anti-corrosive protective fluid for rusted steel where normal surface preparation is difficult.
- Intended for use on severely rusted surfaces, i.e. exhaust, mufflers and under mudguards.
- Ideal for badly corroded galvanized iron and for waterproofing of canvas, cars, trucks, trailers and farm implements.
- Penetrates rust, forcing out air and moisture.
- Will creep into crevices, along pipes, bolts, screws, rivets and other inaccessible places where corrosion is likely to be most active.
- Generally recommended for areas where adequate cleaning and conventional paint systems are not suitable for preventing the spread of corrosion.
